About Johnny 

Johnny has written on many productions during his professional career. Highlights include animated series Hop n’ Zip (with over 7 million online views) and the short films 'Her Story' (2019) and ‘Da Humbug’ (2021) which were both broadcast on RTE. Da Humbug has so far been selected for over 27 international film festivals, accredited with an IFTA nomination and won 3 awards including Johnny’s award for best writer at the Barcelona film festival.  
Johnny’s feature-length screenplay ‘Lorcan the Chosen One’ has recently been optioned by a film production company and he has recently finished writing episodes for an animated series for CBeebies. 

In his spare time, Johnny likes to explore nature, play the guitar, write about himself in the 3rd person and get his nails painted bright pink by his two-year-old daughter (with industrial strength nail polish)
